The 3 days Ghadruk trek begins from Pokhara with a short drive to Phedi about 30 minutes, then we follow the small hiking trail towards the Dhampus village through Dense Rhododendron forest, Filed of rice(paddy) on a stone made steps. After 2 hours hiking from Phedi we reach at Beautiful picturesque village Dhampus Where, there are so many surrounding mountain views, rolling green hill view in the southeast including the mesmerizing view of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (fishtail) and many other peaks.

Best Season for 3 days Ghadruk trekking

The best trekking season in Ghadruk village is March to May and Oct to Nov but it can be done during 4 different seasons. It is a short and Budget trek from Pokhara therefor, all kinds of hikers/trekkers can make it without any obstacles.

The temperature for Ghadruk trek  is neither cold nor hot when you arrive at Ghanduk village, but while you are ascending up to Ghandruk village during the day, you should wear cap/hat, sunglasses etc. Because the temperature will be quite high about 33 Degrees. Noted: that it is only when sunshine and during a day. If you are in a group, or with Family, Small kids, Students all kinds of trekkers go and enjoy this beautiful trek where there is a massif Mountain View, Gurung culture, Valley view and local farmland of Ghadruk village.

 


3 Days Ghandruk Trek from Pokhara Outline

Day 01: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi than Trek to Tolka (1,700 m).

Day 02: Trek from Tolka to Ghandruk(2,012 m).

Day 03: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul(1,075 m) than drive to Pokhara(850 m).

Day by Day Itinerary

We are leaving the Pokhara city today after breakfast today. We will get a prearranged Car, Jeep drives to Phedi which is about 30-minute drive we then begin our trek. Phedi is a name of the local area from where we start to walk following the stone made steeps, Forest, terrace field and Beautiful Cultural Villages. The first 1.30-minute walking, going to be quite steep but your every step towards Dhampus Village provides you stunning views of High Mountains and clear sky. Once we reach massif Gurung village Dhampus we continue to walk gradual uphill to Pothana which is about 1-hour walk, we probably stop there for lunch we then trek to Tolka through the dense forest via Pitam Deaurali. Tolka is a beautiful village inhabited by Gurung people, mostly however, it is a wonderful spot and village to explore the high snow cap peaks and heavenly made landscapes.

We begin our day after breakfast at tea house Tolka. The first 1-hour walk is just easy to walk through the terrace field and villages we then descend to Kiumy passing over the suspension bridge & follow the small village trail going steeply up to Ghandruk. The last 2 hours walking up to Ghandruk will be quite difficult, but the view in the back side of the hill will be just insane especially the valley and River. Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village and it is also one of the most populated Gurung villages of Nepal and most of them involving in Farming, Hotel. Lodges and young boys are in India and UK army forces as they are strong and honest people. We will stay overnight in the Ghandruk Village at Tea House/Lodge.

Today is our last hiking day. When we wake up in the Northeast side, we will have stunning Annapurna south and Hiuchuli view, including holy mountain Machhapuchhre(Fishtail), probably today is the easiest day for hiking that we just descend and gradually downhill walk until we arrive Nayapul via Birethanti. We will have a warm day today because we are just walking along the river, Village and field that mean no trees along the way, so you may wear just T-shirt and half paint which is comfortable and easy for you. After 4 hours walking from Ghadruk village, we will get Car/Jeep from Nayapul then drive to Pokhara.
