Mardi Himal Trekking Package and Guide Cost:
The Mardi Himal Trek guide cost depends on how you arrange your trek. There are two main options: booking a complete package or paying the guide separately on a daily basis.
A 4-day Mardi Himal Trek with a local guide costs around USD 250 per person. This package can include transportation from Pokhara to the trek starting point and back, tea-house accommodation, food, permits, and other essential arrangements. It is a convenient and highly recommended option because you do not need to manage each expense separately.
Alternatively, you can pay the guide a salary for four days and pay separately for transportation, food, tea houses, permits, and other expenses. This gives you more flexibility but requires more planning.
If your group has 5 or more people, the cost per person can be lower because several expenses can be shared. A local guide is generally a more affordable option than booking the same trek through a larger travel agency.

Choosing between an independent guide and a trekking agency for Mardi Himal depends on your preferred level of support and flexibility. An independent guide offers direct communication and may allow greater flexibility with the itinerary, walking pace, and daily arrangements.
A Mardi Himal trekking agency generally coordinates services through one booking, which may include a guide, permits, transportation, accommodation, and meals, depending on the package. Before booking, check the guide’s credentials, inclusions, costs, permits, insurance requirements, and emergency arrangements for a well-organized Mardi Himal Trek.

However, it's important to note that the weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, and you should be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions. It's also important to avoid trekking during the monsoon season (June to August) when heavy rainfall can make the trails slippery and dangerous.
