I and my girlfriend had an excellent trip to Everest Base Camp in mid-October 2012. Santosh Gauli executed his duties as a guide with professionalism and made us feel safe during the trek. Everything from accommodation to flight tickets was booked according to schedule. After the trek, we arrived in Lukla one day earlier according to plan and Santosh even managed to get us on a flight the next day so we didn’t need to stay in Lukla for two nights.
This is an example of how service-minded Santosh is! Santosh knows a lot of people in the Himalayas and it is very comforting to have him as a guide. He is fun to be around and speaks English very well, which makes it easy to communicate. In the end, we didn’t think of Santosh as just a guide, but more like our new Nepalese friend.
