KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE:
This complex of places, country yards, and temples built between the 12th and 18th used to be the seat of ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An interesting object here is the 17th century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages.
The durbar square protected as a UNESCO world heritage site. This is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also museums inside the palace building.
SWAYMBHUNATH STUPA(Monkey Temple):
This is the second holiest place of Buddhism in Nepal. Swayambhunath is perched on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu and is a complex of temples including Nepal? most famous landmark, this large stupa adorned with eyes watching over the Kathmandu valley.
Swayambhunath located 6.5 km west of Kathmandu is popularly called Swayambhu which means self-existent”. This shrine is dedicated to the supreme Adi-Buddha. Its religious significance is also described in the Swayambhu Purana written in the 15th century.
Boudhanath Stupa a world heritage site lies about 6 km to the east of downtown Kathmandu is the largest stupa in the Valley. PATAN DURBAR SQUARE:
Patan Durbar Square located at the city center is the focal point of all the heritages in Lalitpur, the other name of the Patan city which means the city of Fine arts. This palace complex from where the ancient rulers of this city ruled consists of 19 monuments in and around it. The Durbar Square was designated as World Heritage site in 1979. It is small but has been successful in preserving its original character than other palaces of the Kathmandu valley. It is a most impressive architectural site with complex of temples.
BHAKTAPUR DURBAR SQUARE:
As you walk in, you cannot but be overcome by a feeling of inner harmony. Such is the art and architecture and the special layout here. The 15th-century Palace of 55 Windows, situated to the left as you enter through the city gate, inspires admiration. In the front of the palace building is a medley of temples of various designs. The place entrance, Golden Gate is a masterpiece in Very old art.
PASHUPATINATH TEMPLE
Pashupatinath temple is a historical place where thousands of pilgrims visit every day to worship God Siva and they also visit astonishing Architectural beauty which is standing as a symbol of Religion, Tradition, and culture. It is a really old temple existence in 400 AD
The Pashupatinath temple is one of the visited sacred Hindu Temple located at the bank of Bagmati River in Kathmandu. It is near Tribhuvan International airport and about 5 km from the center of Kathmandu to the northeast.
The Pashupatinath temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage site as it is big and wide area represents all Hindu religions at the same area. The main temple just allows for Hindu people but there are so many shrines on the other side of the hill and also some forest. It is a really interesting Hindu area but still, all kind of people are allowed to visit except inside the main temple
