Day by Day Itinerary

We take early private transport from Pokhara to Kande which is about an hour drive along Phedi and Naudanda. We will follow Pokhara Baglung highway, which is in the west of Pokhara. We begin to walk from Kande towards Australian camp. The first 1.30minute ascending takes you to the Australian camp from where we can see the snow Cap peaks. It is a popular settlement for trekkers and the view of Annapurna range, Hiuchuli, terrace field, Pokhara valley are just unbelievable from there. Trek after Australian camp will be quite easy till we reach at Pothana where we have to show our entrance permits then we follow the small stone made steps through the dense Rhododendron Forest. It is very tranquil trekking route as we don’t pass any villages until Pitam Deurali.

Your first hiking experience will be just Wonderful as you get to see, Snow cap high peaks, Villages, Forest, Landscapes, and Pokhara valley.

We take our breakfast in the lodge then we head off the popular Annapurna trail today. The trail from Deurali to forest camp is just very small and grassy but is no tea house along the way that means, you have to have heavy breakfast at Deurali and also bring some chocolates, biscuits etc. With you. We will have 5 hours walk about the forest camp today. The walking route is all through the forest so that you have to bring sufficient drinking water with you. It is just a gradual uphill walk through the beautiful dense forest. Overnight in Tea House.

After breakfast same as yesterday, we will follow the small walking path through the forest. The trek today is also gradually ascending but the view will be even close in distance that will make your wide chest and smile in your face. Today also you have to carry some dry foods, drinking water and daily uses things with you because there is nothing in between to buy.

We take early breakfast today and follow the trail upward to the ridge of Mardi Himal and Mt. Machhapuchhre. Once we reach Badal Danda the tree line area will be finished then we trek in open areas without forest than reach at Shrubby Alpine Zone. The view will be very close from their especially Mt. Machhpuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. High camp itself is a small settlement where we can see only 3 small Tea Houses but still, you can explore the massif mountain peaks in a close distance.

Relatively, it is our longest day, but you will have just stunning views of vast Himalayan terrain. The first two hours walking takes you to the top of massif hill which is known as a Mardi Himal base camp. There are two different base camps, but most of the people visit the first 2 hours one because the real base camp is still next two hours walking from that ridge however, the view from the first viewpoint will be just unbelievable. The view of Mt Annapurna I, Annapurna III & Gangapurna will be really close.

We will follow the same way back to the forest camp, but the magical view is still there with you. We will have a few hours walk through the forest and stay at Forest camp Tea House.

We start our day after breakfast at the forest camp tea house. We descents through the rhododendron forest and beautiful landscapes for a few hours, then we reach a permanent residential area where many Gurung and Ghale people stay. It is one of the best settlements during this trek where we will immense opportunity to explore the countryside life as they grow organic vegetable, some organic Tea and few crops in their field. You can enjoy the local food, fresh vegetable after a few days and old and interesting Gurung culture around the village.

We trek all the way down to the Mardi river bank where we will get Off (road) than we take the vehicle to drive back to Pokhara on the same day. The first 1-hour drive will be on the off-road and 30-minute drive will be on a dirt road then reach Pokhara. It is our last day of the hike, therefore, we can have Good food, Massage, and Farewell dinner with Guide and Porter which is expected after your successful trek.
