Day by Day Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our team will pick you up and provide transportation that is appropriate for the size of your group. Once you arrive at your hotel, you will then be able to prepare for your trek and make any necessary payments. After that, you will be ready for the trek.

To go trekking in Manaslu, you need to drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar. The drive is approximately 5-6 hours, depending on the road conditions. The route passes through many small villages and beautiful countryside, so you have the opportunity to explore the local culture and scenery. Once you arrive in Arughat Bazaar, you can start your trekking journey and explore the Manaslu Region.

After a delicious breakfast, you'll be ready to start your trek to Soti Khola. It's sure to be an exciting day as you explore the village life, nature, and the local people. You'll be walking on mostly flat terrain, passing through traditional houses, subtropical forests, and green, lush vegetation. The scenery will include terrace fields of rice and corn and other crops. The trek should take around 5-6 hours, and when you reach Soti Khola, located on the banks of the Budi Gandaki river, you'll be able to rest and spend the night. Along the way, you may even have the chance to stop off at local tea houses, where you can sample some of the delicious local cuisine and learn more about the culture and customs of the region.

Today is sure to be a lovely day of walking, with many zigzag paths and trails. As you explore the forests, terrace fields, local people, valleys, and traditional houses, you may even encounter some Tibetan and Mongolian inhabitants. After passing through the village, you will have to walk a zigzag path before arriving at Machha Khola, where you will be able to experience the thrill of crossing suspension bridges and cliff sides. At the end of the day, you'll rest at a lodge, ready to take on the next leg of your journey.

Today, start by following the small trekking path to Thado Khola and continue to Khorlabeshi. Expect uphill and downhill sections, then reach Tatopani where you can bathe in a natural pool to refresh yourself. Trek to the ridge of the hill and cross the suspension bridge over Budi Gandaki, but be cautious of dangers such as landslides and isolated areas, it's best to walk in a group with a guide. After crossing the bridges and ridge, you'll arrive at Jagat where you'll spend the night.

Your initial villages will be Salleri and Sirdibas, then the trail leads to Ghatte Khola which requires crossing a long suspension bridge to reach the large Gurung community in Phillim. Some travelers choose to stay at Phillim instead of Deng. Today, your walk will take you through the valley with bamboo trees, rocky trails, and suspension bridges until you reach Deng village where you will spend the night at a local base lodge.

Your initial walk is an easy start, then the path goes over a bridge to the other side of the river and climbs up to Rana. After a short walk from Rana, you will reach the wide west valley of the Gandaki river. Most of the time, the trail goes through forests and past the colorful Mani walls of Buddhism, as well as some monasteries. Finally, you will reach Gap, a great spot to view the high mountains like Ganesh Himal, Siring Himal, and Hiuchuli. The trail continues through the valley before the last uphill section takes you to Namrung village, where you will spend the night.

Today is a windy day, and you're headed towards the high Himalaya region. Your journey starts with a steep hike, which leads you to Lihi, a tranquil area known for its Chortens and diverse crops. The stunning green landscapes give you the energy to keep walking, and after a while, you'll reach Simpang, a small but charming place. Finally, after more walking, you'll arrive at Lho Gaon where you'll spend the night at a local lodge.

Your initial steps of the hike bring you to Ayala village, followed by a walk to Sama village, which boasts stunning views and is a photographer's delight. The breathtaking beauty of Mt Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and other peaks, along with the massive glacier, can be seen from here. You will spend the night in Samagaon.

Today is your rest day, but if you're feeling up to it, you can visit Birendra Tal, a beautiful and awe-inspiring pool surrounded by high mountains. Note that this excursion is recommended only for experienced and physically fit trekkers, as it can be a long walking day. If you prefer a shorter excursion, consider visiting Nun Gompa, a nearby destination where you can learn about the traditions and lifestyles of Himalayan Buddhists. After your trip, you'll return to your hotel and spend the night there.

Today is another day full of adventure, with stunning scenery along the way. You'll continue following the gorgeous Gandaki valley and cross a bridge to the other side. The peaceful journey takes you through a juniper forest, and as you trek on, you'll pass by some small tea houses and descend hills until you reach Samdo. For the night, you'll be staying in a tea house in Samdo.

Today's hike begins with crossing a wooden bridge over the Gandaki river, leading you to a ridge where you'll walk upwards and marvel at the mountain glaciers. The trail to Dharmasla isn't the longest, but due to the altitude, it's important to take plenty of breaks and drink warm water. After a 5-hour journey filled with zigzag paths, you'll reach Dharmasla where you'll either stay in a lodge or a tent, depending on the room availability as there are only a few small lodges. During high season, you may need to stay in a tent belonging to the hotel.

It's important to start your walk as early as possible today as it will be a long hike. You'll ascend steeply on a rocky trail to reach Lara Pass, facing strong winds along the way. Upon reaching the top of Larke Pass, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of snowcapped mountains such as Mount Manaslu, Ratna Chuli, Lara Peak, the Himalayas, and many peaks over 5000m. After crossing the Lara Pass, the trail steeply descends on a rocky path and takes you past beautiful icy lakes. The trail then leads you to Bhimtang, a Buddhist area where you can see Mani walls, Buddhist art, and experience the local culture. You'll spend the night in Bumthang.

The trek from Bumthang to Dharapani (1860m) is a scenic journey through the heart of the Himalayas. The trail begins in Bumthang and takes you through lush forests, past rolling hills, and across rushing rivers. As you hike, you'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning mountain scenery and witness the local culture and traditions of the communities living in the area. You'll also pass by traditional villages, prayer flags, and monasteries along the way, providing you with a glimpse into the rich history and spiritual significance of the region. The trek ends in the charming village of Dharapani, where you can rest and recharge before continuing on your journey.

Today marks the conclusion of your mini Manaslu trek in Nepal.
