Day by Day Itinerary

We welcome you to our country on your arrival in Kathmandu TIA Airport. We will manage a private Car/Jeep to pick up you from airport and drop to your hotel. After reaching at the hotel our team leader gives you a short brief about the trek and also local scenario nearby the hotel, where to go for eating and related information. You will spend a night in Kathmandu hotel.

You are exploring the major cultural sites around Kathmandu today with our NATHAM trained well experienced tour guide. Your city tour provides you the chance to introduce with local people and so many pagoda style Hindu temples and some Buddhist Stupa. Your city tour our guide take you to your hotel.

Today is your exciting day that by early morning flight you are flying from Kathmandu airport to Lukla airport. It is a 30 minute flight over the Himalaya than we take a popular Everest region trekking route along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding. The trail is easy and gradually down passing some Sherpa local Houses, suspension Bridges and farm lands. Today, after 3 hours easy walk we reach at Phakding where there are many lodges to stay.

The best trekking day today begins after an early breakfast at Phakding. Follow the local route along the Phakding mini bazaar than reaches to the long suspension bridge the next we continue the walk along the river and passing Toktok and banker village after that our step takes you the beautiful Monjo village. It is where all travelers stop for trekking permit checking (in) that short easy walk to Jorsalle. We take lunch (here) than continue to walk along the river and cross the high suspension bridges than a straight climb through the pine forest to Namche.

It is our pleasant day. Early morning we're going to see the stunning view of Mt. Everest from the Namche hill station than next ,we visit the Mountain photo gallery hall next to view point, then back to Hotel and enjoy the rest of the day. Stay at the same lodge.

After spending two beautiful nights at Namche, we trek to Tengboche. Namche to Kyanjuma our first 2 hour journey will be easy and wide on the cliff of (mountain) then we trek downwards to Funki Thanka, we take a lunch here at the local Tea House and rest for a while than 2 hour steep walk to Tengboche. We will stay a night here as it best spot to see Mt. Everest and many mighty mountain peaks.

It is another pleasant day in this trek. We start the day after warm breakfast. The first 20-minute walk from Tyagboche we are going down to Deboche through the forest of pine and dusty trail than trek continues to the bridge over Imja khola then ascends on an open trekking route to Pangboche. It is a massif Sherpa village and also got many lodges than next, we trek along the Imja khola passing Some villager than next 2 hour pleasant walk to Dingboche.

We are hiking a small hill behind Dingboche today. It is for acclimatization. We hike about 1 to 2 hrs steep walk on the Nagarkhan hill, we see the entire mountain peaks, including Ama, Dablam, Lhotse and island peak. After spectacular views from the top we retrace our steps to Digboche and enjoy the rest of the day. We are spending a night here.

We are heading to Lobuche today following the most visited trekking routes on the ridge of Pheriche hill. Our 2 hours walking will be in the middle of Massif Mountain and also we are over a tree line area takes you to Dhukla. It is a small place with 2 small lodges, where many people stop for lunch than next steep walk to the memorial hill than easy gradual walk into the left valley takes you to Lobuche.

It is probably your most exciting day of this trek because you are visiting the base of the world’s tallest peak- Mt. Everest and number one stunning view point the Kalapathar.

From Lobuche we again follow the trail onwards Khumbu Glacier and direction of Pumori Mountain. The first 1 hours trekking from Lobuche are super easy and pleasanter than we have to ascend slowly on a rocky path and see the huge Khubu glacier on the right side than reach to Gorakshep. It is last Lodging in this trek and also the highest spot we're going to sleep at 5,180m.

Once reach at Everest base camp you are truly lucky and can experience the heavenly made natural infrastructure. After a memorable short visit to base camp we go back to Gorakshep and stay in the lodge.

One of the earliest mornings today we have to hike to Kalapathar, it is our early morning, so we have to wear warm clothes and it takes about 1.30 hrs to reach at Kalapathar. The Mountain View and glacier of Khumbu region will be Cleary has seen from Kalapathar and no doubt a perfect shape of Mt. Everest's view than trek back to Gorakshep and retrace the steps until Dhukla then we take a small upper trail going down to Dingboche. We spent one there and prepare for island peak climbing.

This evening we also introduce with climbing guide and porters.

Today you are trekking with climbing Guide and his team who going to help you and take you to the top of Island peak. Today we trek through the Imja valley and excellence view of so many mountains including Massif Lhotse Mountain. With our 2.30 to 3 hours walk we reach to Chhukung than next 3 hours to island peak base camp. We stay in the tented camp today.

Our mission going to climb the island peak at midnight with climbing group and tea, our climbing guide gives you some Technics about climbing this way you will be following the Guide than submit island peak after we descend to the base camp then we follow the same route back to Dingboche and meet again with your trekking guide. We spent a successful night there in the lodge.

From Dingboche we are taking the same rote and passing same scenario that we had when we were going up. It is about 6 to 7 hours wonderful walk and lines of the White Mountains. We are going to have better accommodation and foods with our wonderful memories of climbing and walking in the high region Khumbu.

From Namche after breakfast we are taking a downhill route along the pine forest till the highest suspension bridge than easy gradual walk along the Dudh Koshi River. It is a same trekking route again passing same scenery and landscapes to Lukla takes about 7 hours. It is our last walking day in the mountain. We spent a night there at Lukla.

From Lukla we are taking early flight over the Himalayas to Kathmandu takes about 30 minutes. We take you to your hotel after reaching the Kathmandu Airport.

We are taking you from your hotel by private transport to the Kathmandu TIA Airport about 3 hours before of your flight scheduled.

Essential Information

Mountain Accommodation:

Rooms are based on 2 people generally sharing a twin bed in one room, it is safe and clean, but you have to use bathroom services outside your room.

It is really important that you have to understand that the accommodation during your trekking will be very basic but clean and safe.

When is the best months to trek in Nepal?

There are two main trekking seasons Sep. To Dec. And Feb 15 to April is the best because by that time, you can easily explore beautiful mountain every day because of the good weather each day in Nepal, However, you can make your trip all year. Around Nepal.

Food in the mountain

When we start our trek in the mountain, we can have typical Nepalese foods and also continental, Tibetan, Italian, Indian soon it means each settlement serves you various foods on your choice and the foods are fresh and organic at Each settlement.

When you arrive in Kathmandu you can have breakfast at your hotel and when you are in trekking you will get breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the hotel menu each settlement so as a guide since 13 years I suggest you to have vegetable foods most during your trek in the mountain and also less friend food will help you a lot to be strong to walk each day.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements:

Mount Everest Base Camp is a moderate to Difficult trek and it is suitable for passionate walkers who have the ability to walk at least 4-7 hours a day with a light rucksack. Some days we might even need to walk for 7 to 8 hours. Walking at higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in the lower altitudes in Some day.

However, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness, have a positive attitude and strong determination, we can accomplish the trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an assist but no technical skill is required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Himalayan Glacier before booking the trek. What is altitude sickness?

High altitude Mountain sickness occurs when you cannot get enough oxygen while you are in the high region over 3000 meters basically. The main symptoms of mountain sickness are a headache, lack of sleep, you don’t really feel hungry, nausea, dizziness, if you are in the critical situation you might get some blood bleeding from your nose and your cough will be really dry.

When some people who are not used to the high altitude and if he/she goes fast from low altitude, in that case, you might get altitude sickness easily because your body can’t exit rapidly that high so quickly. So for altitude sickness can be the descending the main medicine and warm drinking water helps you a lot, as well as you, need to keep your warm body and drink as much as possible that helps a lot.

What is the maximum weight for the porter in Nepal?

Nepal's tourism board published some rules and regulation for porters who used to work generally with tourist they carry 25 kg, so in general you will get one porter for two trekkers it means one trekker need to make their weight about 12.5 kg and if you have extra clothes or any extra things that you bought from your country you can leave in hotel locker in Kathmandu once you are back you will get it, it is safe.

What is the maximum weight can I take to Lukla in a plane?

Flying to Lukla we will be in a small plane, whereas just 14 to 16 people in one plane. It is small this is why there is short of strict rules need to be just 15 kg per person as a luggage and small day bags as a hand carry you can take with you. If you have any extra things in your bag you can leave in Kathmandu hotel before you leave than it helps a lot to repack and to follow the rules. Still, after repacking your bag have more than 15 kg you have to pay $ 5 US per kg than you can fly in or out.

How much do I need to tip for guide and porter?

Tipping things is not compulsory but it is highly expected from field staff during your trek in Nepal such as waiter Driver, Guide porters. Mainly if you are in Nepal and doing more than week trip with Guide or with Porter you can tip about $100 US for the guide and 80 USD for a porter, but if they make your special trip with lots of information take care and you feel safer all the time with them than you can add more tip on top of that.
